Frequently Asked Questions

Hours of operation (are you open on weekends?)

We are open from 9:00am to 4:00pm Monday through Thursday and 9:00am -5:00pm Friday. We are closed for the weekend and for all major holidays.

Are we open to the public?

Yes, and we would love to see you! We accept walk-ins as long as you're ok with anything we have currently in stock:) To guarantee your order we recommend placing it in advance. Also, we are not a typical retail bakery so you can't view our beautiful creations in a bakery case nor can you order a single slice of cake, but we'll be happy to please you with a delicious whole cake of your choosing.

How far in advance do I need to place an order?

A minimum of 2 days' notice is required for standard orders.

To ensure availability during holidays, please place your order 1-2 weeks in advance as popular items may sell out.

For rush orders, please place your order online first, then call 704-660-5706 or email po @ queencity.com to discuss your timing needs.

How do I place an order?

There is multiple ways including our website, email, and the retail phone line. If we do not answer, leave a message or email and we will do our best to touch base by end of day.

What type of payment do you accept?

We accept all major credit and debit cards, Venmo, and cash.

Do you accept custom orders?

We are not accepting custom orders. However, we are more than happy to write a personal message on your cake. Now you just have to think of something snazzy to say:)

Do you accept returns?

Given the perishable nature of our products, we aren’t able to accept returns. If you encountered an issue with your order, please email PO@ INFO@ queencitypastry.com and let us know what’s going on. We will do our best to make it right.

How should my pastries be stored?

Frozen cakes can be wrapped and stored for up to 12 months depending on the category. Once thawed they will keep for seven days under refrigeration.

How should my pastries be served?

Cakes require refrigeration and should be removed from the fridge two hours before serving. Our buttercream cakes are best served at room temperature. Tarts warmed in an oven at 350 for 10-15 min. Cheesecakes and tortes/double deckers best at refrigerated temperature.

How do I become a wholesale customer?

We require 2 forms in order to complete a costumer registration. - Customer Information form (including business name, address, owner, manager, accountant, and chef contact email and phone number, etc.) - Tax information federal tax ID NCDOR E-595E Sales and use tax exempt form These will be reviewed and an email of approval will be sent out as soon as possible.

How far in advance do I need to place an order?

For our Direct customers we need a 2 day notice, unless there is a catering event which will require at least a week in advance notice. For our Distributors we require a 2 week lead time.

Do You Deliver?

We love all the hardworking restaurateurs, coffee & specialty shops, and country clubs and convention centers we deliver to. We require a $300.00 Minimum order to deliver Tuesday/Friday to Charlotte, Lake Norman and the surrounding area. Please see the Wholesale page for more information.
